The short answer

Legacy FAQ

What is the Legacy system in WoW Forever?

Legacy is account-wide progression. Completing Legacy challenges earns Legacy points that every non-Hardcore character on your Battle.net account can spend on perks. Each character can spend up to 16 points.

How do you earn Legacy points?

Each completed Legacy challenge gives one point. Challenges cover classes (reaching levels 25, 45 and 60 for the first time on each class), tradeskills, PvP, adventure, dungeons and raids.

What does Talented do?

You gain talent points every level starting at level 5 instead of starting at level 10, but you still may not have more than 51 total talent points. Each of its five ranks moves your first talent point one level earlier, from level 9 down to level 5.

Do Legacy points work in Hardcore?

Challenges completed in non-Hardcore rulesets do not count in Hardcore. A challenge earned in Hardcore counts in all other rulesets.
